40lbs is doable, but very risky and not quite healthy.


You need to be disciplined with calorie intake and macros, counting every bit of food that enters your mouth.

You will need to calculate your TDEE calorie weight and determine what a healthy caloric deficit will be for you.

You need a strength training regiment that has you lifting weights 4 times per week

And you need to do HIIT cardio 3 times per week.


Its a lot of work that takes 100% dedication.


There are a lot of good resources in this site that can help you with the nutrition calculations.
