I take it to mean that your conversations with the person are really rewarding, and they leave you feeling happy and with a sense of inner peace and fulfillment. It's only happened once to me, and even though the sexual connection wasn't all there and the relationship was pretty bad, it is the mental connection I miss about him and many times I ask myself "what would X say about this situation?". To me, this connection is much stronger and more meaningful than a sexual connection.
