Should I let him travel to meet me?

I met a guy through an online dating site. We live roughly 2.5 hours apart and he wanted to get together this weekend as he will be traveling through my town. I told him I would need to see if I could get off work (not sure since short notice and all) and he told me if not he will try to make a trip up soon to meet me. I don't mind traveling to meet him (and I would have to go to his town as there is nothing between us, but trees and a town of like 500 people. I'm not sure if he's trying to be traditional and feels better about planning it or not?

Save yourself the petrol and let him come to you plus if it doesnt work out you wont have to sit in the car alone and dwell on it for 2.5 hours

Well I guess that's true, I just don't know how long I'm going to have to wait. Sigh.

oh now I am in the other team here ..I think if you go then you can escape when you like lol if he comes to you , you have to wait for him to go ... I am saying it light hearted of course but given the choice , for me ..I would rather go then the stress of waiting for him to come to me , then out staying his welcome .

Oh well if he cowes up to me he wants to take me to dinner and then a movie, or art exhibit. I would be free to leave whenever I wanted.
