Angel29
I went to an afternoon bar to catch up with a friend. I helped myself to some water as the queues were too long at the bar. Then this waiter came over quickly and filled a bottle of water and came over to my table and said "I have got you some water so you don't have to get any again". He kept smiling at me and then was hovering around. I went to the toilet and my friend said he came over and looked like he was looking for me. The second time I came back from the toilet I caught him looking at me and smiling, he seemed shy. I am a shy person and usually avoid eye contact but I smiled and he smiled back. My friend asked if I wanted to speak to him but I didn't feel confident and left the venue. I don't know if he was interested or just being friendly? Now I'm wondering if I should have spoke to him before I left? Link to comment
Wiseman2
Sounds like a friendly professional interaction where staff cater to the patrons and smile and so on. Then this waiter came over quickly and filled a bottle of water and came over to my table and said "I have got you some water so you don't have to get any again". He kept smiling at me and then was hovering around. Link to comment

Seymore
It's a ruse. A ruse, I say! Go to bar, drink. Bartender is cute and makes chit chat or is friendly, you stick around and drink more. Get your hopes up, find out they do it with everyone, get depressed... drink more. ] Link to comment
