sherrelle Posted September 25, 2016 Share Posted September 25, 2016 It's been almost 3 months since I was abruptly dumped. I went through the worst depression I've ever been through. I lost weight because I wouldn't eat and I'm already not big. I literally felt like death would've been easier, BUT it really does get better. I still think about him everyday, but I no longer have the urge to contact him. We've been NC for 8 weeks. I found a hobby that I fell in love with and that helped me a lot. I'm just writing this to say that IT DOES GET BETTER. No matter how much you think it won't it does. It's not that you get over it right away. You just learn to accept the situation for what it is. Don't get stuck in all the good memories you guys had, because they're not that person to you anymore. Delete the pictures, I had to because when I saw them I would breakdown for the rest of the day. And find a friend, that you can talk to openly about your feelings. Guys too, I say this because guys don't like to share their feelings. But continue to be strong and you'll get through this and find a long that'll be better than all the previous ones. In the beginning I was devasted, blaming myself for everything. Could not stop thinking about the woulda shoulda coulda's, but now I don't anymore. And you are right, you don't stop thinking about the person, you just learn to accept that is is over and that you do deserve someone better. I never thought I would accept that we didn't have a future together, but now I have and I'm so much better. Everyone else just keep fighting through the pain! It gets better, I promise.
