I really like a girl that does not like me. What did I do wrong?

When I met this girl things were going good. We spoke everyday and it seemed as if she really liked me. When I told her I liked her she said she liked me too and everything was good until 4 months after when she decided to get back with her ex (which only lasted a week). After this I tried distancing myself to get over her but she continued to start conversations with me and would always talk about her exs and other guys she's had affairs with. She even asks me to go to the movies with her and when we went she allowed me to run my hand up her thighs and massaged them while she was on my arm. Now I really like her again and she says she can't be in a relationship with me because I'm too nice and she doesn't want to hurt me but she's always complaining about how she always chooses guys that don't respect and that she wants a nice guy. When I try to forget about her she says that I'm ignoring her which makes me think there's a chance she wants me but I know she doesn't. I know she does not have to choose me but i'm confused. What should I do now? Do girls really avoid guys that treat them good?
