EstebanR
Hello everyone, I come here seeking for some points of view. I feel I can´t get help from relatives or friends because of a partial answer: My wife and I are just about half a year of being married. She works as an english teacher in a private college; I´m a graphic designer and about a month ago I just got a new job after almost a year of being unemployed. We recently discovered she is pregnant by no more than 2 months and the issue is that she wants to quit her job right now and go to the US to have our baby there (we're from mexico and we both have relatives living legally there, we could work without issues and we would save all the money we can for our comeback when the baby is born), we both agree that would be one of the best things we could ever do for him because of the benefits he or she could have being a citizen, but that would mean for me to quit to my recently acquired job that, I must say It´s what I ever dreamed for (I´m involved as an illustrator in the creation of videogames) and I feel that I will never get another chance for something like that. I realize that with my salary because of my current status inside the company I barely will be able to sostain us and that at the US I can have a better income but doing a job that I hate. I dont know what to do. I feel selfish for asking her to stay for my professional fulfillment. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Link to comment

IAmFCA
I don't think any of us can advise you responsibly without knowing how bad it is where you live, whether it is worth it to become illegal in the US, uproot yourselves. Why have you not asked your US family to sponsor you for immigration? Link to comment
Wiseman2
How long would you live in the US for? Can you be apart for a while and do long distance? she wants to quit her job right now and go to the US to have our baby there we're from mexico and we both agree that would be one of the best things we could ever do for him because of the benefits he or she could have being a citizen Link to comment
