Boughtandpaidfor
Best two films I saw in the last year were both by the same director (though I didn't realise it at the time): "Frank" and "Room". Link to comment
Jibralta
Arrival So good. For the first half of the movie, I was like, "eh, this kinda sucks." But then it became awesome. Link to comment
imsuperman
Arrival So good. For the first half of the movie, I was like, "eh, this kinda sucks." But then it became awesome. I liked that one too. And yeah the first half is so slow but it gets super interesting. Link to comment
ParisPaulette
A Stir of Echoes starring Kevin Bacon. He was so brilliant in that film, and it's one that is just kind of creepy in a good way. A great ghost story all the way around, one of my faves. Also watched Fright Night/Green Room with Anton Yelchin again this weekend. Such a talent, gone too soon. Link to comment
imsuperman
Saw Kong. Fun and entertaining movie. Wasn't high art; didn't expect it to be high art. Link to comment

Matt3939
(Wolves) down right awful but me and my dad try to watch horrible movies. We barely made it thru that one. BTW it was about basketball with a karate kid spin. Link to comment
ParisPaulette
^^^That sounds like one for the MST3K gang! 10 Cloverfield Lane. I'm both exhausted and wired now after watching that one. Wow. Love the ending. Link to comment

Scoe141
10 Cloverfield Lane. I'm both exhausted and wired now after watching that one. Wow. Love the ending. I just watched that! (Well a couple of weeks ago.) I was not expecting the ending, at all. Link to comment
ParisPaulette
I was not expecting the ending, at all. I loved the ending though, how the movie shifts from one genre to the next out of nowhere and the look of determination in her eyes as she turns the car down the road. So awesome. I want to see more of that character. And then I watched Cloverfield again. And then I went found myself driving through Roswell at dusk. Not a recommended experience BTW, paranoia at its finest. I bet the hair on your arms stood up when you went driving through there. And if you don't have hair on your arms, I bet some grew and then stood up. Link to comment
ParisPaulette
Yeah, I kept thinking about those movies, then the Roswell incident, then the other crash sights around New Mexico (apparently we are famous for our green chile dishes on an intergalactic scale, right?) . Normally I just think about Silence of the Lambs when I'm driving through remote locations. Another movie I have to see again someday, but am still just too creeped out to watch. Link to comment
