nauticalpoem
Everything I can find online in regards to "second chances" is about long-term relationships or instances where someone did something majorly wrong (cheated, etc.). I recently dated this guy I really liked and everything was going well. We started talking less when he got really busy with work and I freaked out, acted desperate, and haven't heard from him since. [[see my previous post about the situation]] My question is ... In a couple weeks when I am in a better head space and he has had sometime after work slows down, could I get a second chance? Could that spark be regained? How could that come about best? We dated for like 6 weeks and it just really sucks that are personal lives happened to get a bit difficult at that point. ALSO: I went to the doctor and got put on medicine to help control my anxiety and panic attacks. I'm starting therapy friday so I can continue to get better about relationship securities and not act so desperate ever again. Thanks for all you support!! SooSad33
Not sure? I would suggest you continue no contact. And suggest you get going on your prof help for a while and let the med's start working. Don't be rushing after him... you are NOT improved.. yet, so I don't think you really have anything to 'prove' to him at this time. Things fell apart after only 6 weeks. Not sure IF he has the same interest as you in pursuing this?
nauticalpoem
That makes sense. Just so confused by this occurrence.
overthemoon86
To be honest, you probably scared him off. If you acted desperate and clingy after just 6 weeks, that is a scary preview for any man looking for a long term relationship and their instinct is to run.
