Although to be fair, she sounds better in this song then usual. I've only heard her be breathy and seductive. Appreciate the change of pace. I'm just going to leave this here. This is the true meaning of pain. 2

But it's only Thursday. 😁 While that was painful, I give her credit for still making music after being the brunt of so many jokes. Take out the autotune, and she's capable of actually singing. Just checked her latest video and I would need to include an advisory warning on it, so I'll post a more family friendly one instead. I'll let you look up the more suggestive videos on your own. Now, what other painful songs can I come up with.... 🤔 1
Jaunty Posted October 25 Posted October 25 The artist William Basinski finished this work on 9/11 and took that picture from his window in the midst of the attack. 3
yogacat Posted October 25 Posted October 25 The music of Secret Garden is beautiful. No way on par with the musical greats, I have developed a deep affection for this particular piece:

Not only that but he also allegedly abused her physically and emotionally. It's a shame that someone who was supposed to protect her and guide her in her career would instead use his power to manipulate and control her. On to lighter things: 1
ShySoul Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Getting in the spirit of the season. Who you gonna call? 1
Batya33 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I listened to Charlemagne the God being interviewed on the New Yorker podcast (so does this belong in streaming -it was a podcast lol). Not commenting at all on his politics but I'd never really heard of him and I really liked the way he spoke, how he communicates and he seemed genuine in a way that often radio personalities are not. 1

But maybe when you're older you can aspire to it. 😄 I had blocked this one from my memory, but you guys made me think of it. Not sure if it's bad, but it is ridiculous. It's ridic, it's ridic, it's ridic, it's ridic, it's ridiculous.... (Ha, take that censors! You know what I'm saying 🙄) 1

I used to volunteer with a program that helped adults who struggled with literacy. Many of them had a goal of getting a ged as well. If I learned anything from them it's that it's never too late to go for what you want. Glad you did. I'd say you're brain is pretty ok. Feel happy and proud. You did it!
ShySoul Posted November 1 Posted November 1 Show me where the line is and I'll be the one to colour outside it... I'm gonna dance dance dance to the beat of my own drum I'll close my eyes and throw my heart open. (nice dancing as well)

You're welcome. My roommate also was part of the program (was actually the one who got me to do it with her). She just ran into a woman she used to tutor. The woman has gone from not being able to read at all, to working at a daycare center and reading books to children. When they first started her oldest son was struggling in first grade. Now he's graduated high school and is training to be a technician. That is really changing a life. And to relate this back to listening to something, here's a song to promote literacy we got way back when we did our training.
