I feel grateful that my mother has wanted to go out three days in a row and we've had a very enjoyable three-day weekend. She may not have a lot of time left on this earth, but every smile and good time I can give her is a victory.

That's great.

-My Facebook friend , I worked with him at my old hpjob, and every weekday he always has his very own motivational quote for everyone. Seriously. Every weekday. Always telling everyone to be great and keep positive and to keep trying. I mean I think it's pretty cool.

-Every time my nephew asks me to sit with him. The other night he explained in great detail that he was scared of smoke alarms because they were loud and I explained in great detail there was nothing to be afraid of. Could he drive my car, he wondered. Can't until he's bigger and won't get bigger if he doesn't eat more, I told him.

I am thankful for somehow surviving last semester even though I am beyond burnt out scholastically & after I kept getting knocked down I still found a way to get back up. Also, I am thankful for my beautiful, amazing mother who gives me strength and is everything I aspire to be. Thanks for this thread SpottiOtti it's nice to read some positive, uplifting stuff!

Today I am grateful for my friend's company and support and the sun.

For the cake we ate sitting outside the house on the steps.

For having the day off.

I should be grateful for the flowers sent to me but it mostly confused/pressured me.

Also for talking to my mum.

And you know what, as I was posting that last I felt gratitude for being able to come here and read all of the regular posters' posts. You guys all feel sort of like old friends.

That's why I can't leave, or even take a damn (lengthy) break. It just feels weird to do that, after over 4 years here!
