redrose85
Share your stories (good, bad, horrid) about buying a home. I just need to not feel alone in this right now lol We bought our first place quickly. Saw it, loved it, bought it. Now that we want to start a family, we need something bigger than our 2 bedroom loft, but our small loft has to be sold now before we can buy anything. We put in an offer on a home we loved, and the time clause was rejected. We put in an offer on an even better place tonight, and it hasn't been rejected, but the owners want to "wait and see". If by Friday they haven't gotten any offers, they will revisit it. It's just very discouraging. I don't really know what the point is in looking for a home before ours is sold, but I'm told it will all work out. Please share, commiserate, give tips for selling, etc... Link to comment
mhowe
1. Most buyers don't like the "contingency" of selling your house. 2. Therefore...stop tourtering yourself by looking before you sell. 3. If you truly want/need to move...drop your price. 4. Having cash in pocect makes RE agents love you. 5. Always remember that RE agents work for seller and want YOU to pay highest price. 6. No offer is ever embarrassing! 7. NEVER show over enthusiasm for the house you want. Need I go on? Link to comment
