When a guy picks on you and calls you out in a group often, what does this mean?

I'm currently seeing someone, nothing official yet, but another guy we've known for a long time, tends to pick on me often, more so in a jokingly way, but there are days where he seems more mean about it... especially in a group of friends, if I say something or say a joke, out of no where he'll raise his voice and say something like "she would never do that!" or "you meant to say that, hahaha!" Something along those lines, as if he REALLY knows me but he doesn't...

 

He's flirty with other girls but he seems more nice-flirty with them, but with me, he seems a little more aggressive, and it always seems awkward around him... I'm also polite to him, I ask the questions, make conversation, and he seems very quiet around me unless I say something... he doesn't seem this way around others... and why be randomly mean to me sometimes?

 

I'm very confused and wondering if he has secret feelings for me... does the raised voice and calling me out often in a group of people mean anything? I notice he also has a hard time saying my name sometimes, like introducing me to a friend or if he has to give something to me... it just all feels awkward... no one else treats me this way..

If he has known you a long time or well enough, I would think he just doesn't like you. If he barely knows you outside of your group of friends I would say that he likes you. However that is some grade school stuff if the latter holds true.
