Christmas time and all that

Well I know there are a lot of people in a similar situation. This is the first Christmas and New year without my ex. The first time in five years we haven't celebrated with each other. We would always do a mini christmas before. We would trade presents, have a romantic night in and I would make steak or something. Then at new year I would always ring it in with him.

It's tough. And with his email hanging over my head and the realisation that I should just shut him out entirely. It's a strain.

I am trying.

Make new plans to help you make new traditions for yourself so you do not associate the holidays with your ex anymore.

My last 3 Christmases have been spent single, though I've had girls in between. I usually just go to my buddy's house for dinner, than my other buddy's parents house for dessert. It works out great, and think about all the money you are saving! haha! Gotta look on the positive side of the coin.
