FB unfriend, long after breakup.

I posted before about 'not getting over' this one girl. Since then I have, everything has been fine and I even moved on. The thing is, the girl I'm seeing now posted a pic of us on fb and my ex immediately unfriended me. What the hell? The ex and I, I thought, are civil and even say hi when we run into eachother (small town crap). I just don't understand how the girl who broke up with me could be jealous? I suppose I'm asking just to understand, I'm certainly not trying to win her back but it's nice to be friendly, she was a part of my life at one point ya know? She couldn't have unfriended me out of anger, I didn't do anything wrong, it has to be jealousy right? She was fine being my friend (online and in life) up until this.

I see these type of posts all the time... simply put, we don't know what she was thinking when she did it. It could be any of these reasons:

1) She's selfish, and doesn't like you but doesn't want you to be with anybody else

2) She's not completely over you and seeing you with another girl opens old wounds

3) She wanted to delete you earlier but didn't want to offend you -- but now she sees you're over her so it's fine

4) She wants you to question her motives and post a question about it on the internet

It could be a mixture of these reasons or none of them! .. Nobody here will be able to tell you definitively.

hehe, #4 is awesome. I'm thinking #2 is spot on though. We had a great relationship but the timing was off, I fought for her for a while and we had an off/on thing going for a while but it's always been her that said no. Just confusing how she would even care. Why would a person that left YOU have an ounce of jealousy? People suck I guess.

That's why I suggest #1 before #2... she could be selfish and doesn't actually want a relationship with you (thus her behaviour and saying no), but she also doesn't want to see you with other girls because in a way, it shows her that she doesn't have THAT large an effect on your mentality.

I almost called her this am to say "really, you unfriended me why?" but why bother. I put myself out there and she declined; noting to do but move on. If she she has a problem with "it" whatever, not my problem. I love this forum for just that. I feel like I ranted all the things I would've said to her and am now calm, cool and collective. Thank you anonymous people : )

If you have moved on you wouldn't be slighted at being unfriended and posting about it here. Why do people leave their exes on FB in the first place ?????

I'm amazed at how Facebook can be used as a weapon at times, and ever more amazed about how seriously some people waste their time with this nonsense.
