So I have this friend? (This is abit long, but I really need answrs please)

So first off, I'm bi, and I have this friend who is male like me and for a long time he's been acting very strange when around me. I've been supecting that he might have feelings for me but I'm not sure if this is just how he acts or if he actually does have feelings. I don't want to shock people but I'm 18 and he is 15...... I met him when I was 17 at school and we became friends and then it eventually just built up to all this. I do like him (feel attracted to him, but I am NOT a paedophile and I don't plan on ever doing anything sexual with him.)

 

Things he has done include...

 

-He's only had one girlfriend who he broke up with years ago and she turned out Bisexual.

 

-When my female friend offered him food he declined, 2 seconds later when I offered, he accepted.

 

-Some of my guy friends hugged him and he was like 'What the hell?' but afterschool that day when we were alone he said to me 'well.. I gotta go now, so... bye...' and hugged me from behind while I was sitting down IN FRONT OF MY FEMALE TEACHER. (He doesn't hug other guys, and I've never seen him hug another guy except me)

 

-His friends told me that he would talk about me all the time in their classes and they got annoyed because he wouldn't talk about anything else.

 

-He constantly stares at me and once I caught him staring at me and he quickly looked away. The other time I caught him and he smiled to me and nodded his head.

 

-I've offered him the rest of half eaten food and he didn't have a problem accepting it.

 

-We've locked eyes and we both looked away, but ended up locking eyes again only to look away, but than we locked eyes again and this repeated about 4-5 times.

 

-When we're in a group of people, he is always staring at me or his attention is to me even when the conversation is focused on another person.

 

-We were sitting in a group one day and one of my female friends hugged me and he looked at me like this >.> and he then he turned away and it looked like he was upset because he made a face that looked like he was annoyed and upset about it. (I assume it was about the hug because there wasn’t anything else happening when he was looking at me and made that face.)

 

-If you believe in the body language stuff, His body always faces towards me in a group. and he usually tries to sit or stand near me.

 

-He gets defensive if someone calls him 'gay' and will be like 'what?!?! no??!?!'

 

After all this, he's become very distant, yet acts very strange. In front of his friends he hangs out with he is extremely quiet and acts like I don't exist (They used to bully him about me and say that he was in love with me because he would talk about me and hang out with me sometimes.) But when we are in class and his other friends (who don't tease him about me) he actually defends me if they playfully try to touch me, he will literally push them away and say 'don't touch him'. He used to stare at me ALOT and if I caught him, he would look away quickly, NOW he just stares and doesn't look away, he just keeps staring, he stares full on into my eyes, and from a distance!! (and I know he is staring because he is looking at me and he even followed my eyes when I looked up at the roof and quickly back at him.) He used to be so loving and nice to me and now he's completely different but he keeps staring at me and acts defensive if he friends try to play touch me. What is going on???

 

 

I recently saw him at a social gathering and when i walked in the doors and towards my friends who were calling out my name, as soon as he saw me, he had the biggest smile on his face and he nodded his head and smiled to me. Later on, we were standing ina group and he was standing near me (like he usually does) and I caught him looking at me and I looked at him and he quickly looked away and looked back, and than I looked away and looked back because I noticed he looked back at me and than we both looked away. I went off to see what other people were doing at the gathering and afew minutes later I noticed he was walking around alone, and he was a couple meters away form me and I turned around and saw him standing there looking at me to the side with a face like this but he barely spoke to me at the gathering which I don't understand... and when i asked him about why he didn't talk much, he said that he did. (which he didn't) Whenever I ask him why he stares at me or doesn't tlak, he just awkwardly laughs it off. (or it seems awkward to me)

 

These are just some of the things I can remember that he's done and I don't know if I'm just over analysing, but I really don't know what his deal is.. Any ideas??

 

P.S I know the age gap isn't really that huge, but Since I am 18, I'm technically considered an adult althought I met him before I became an adult and had feelings for him. And it really bothers me because of the 3 year age gap though I do like him.
