Am I being ridiculous?

So I've been dating this guy (like b/f g/f) for about a month now. I know prior to me he has had hook-ups, girls he's dated, etc.

Well last night this girl that I think likes him, called his phone at 1:30am. The call woke us up but it didn't stop there. She called 5 more times, back to back. I was pretty tempted to pick up the phone and ask what her problem was but the boyfriend finally answered it.

I could hear the conversation and she's like "hehe, what are you doing?" and he responds "um sleeping, it's 1:30am" and she says "oh, I didn't realize it was that late". They hang up and then a minute or so later she sends a text saying "nvm then".

In the morning he apologized for her calling, saying she knew he was going to bed early and that he thought she was jealous.

I don't want to make it a big deal but I think it's inappropriate for a girl to blow his phone up that late at night. I don't have guys calling my phone that late so I kind of expect the same from him.

Am I being unreasonable?

He can't control who calls him, and seeing that you were only together for a month there are bound to be ex. girls calling unless he informs them he is in a relationship. He was probably blowing up this girls phone at some point at irregular hours that she felt it was ok to do the same. He is with you now, he apologised and I think you should accept it was a one-off, unless this is a regular occurrence. I think you are being extremely jealous and overreacting about this.

He didn't exactly tell her to bugger off, and why did she get notified that he was going to bed early that night. Sounds like they talk often.

You've clearly misread that. It doesn't say anywhere that she was notified he was going to bed early.

I wouldn't worry honey. Unfortunately, these things happen. I was out with my boyfriend and some ex chick thought it was acceptable to stick her bum in his crotch! Wasn't his fault. Xx

No he did say that she knew he was going to bed early. We had to get up at 530am to travel to his soccer tournament.

Ummm yeah, he said she knew he was going to bed early?? How did she know? Did she also know he was spending the night with you? Did he mention it to her when she called?? "It's 1.30 and im in bed" or "it's 1.30 and Im in bed with my girlfriend" are kinda different!

I agree with the others who said he probably called/texted her at crazy hours in the past and she probably thinks its cool but he should make it clear to her that he's seeing you now... For her sake and yours!

I dont think you're being over the top.. You have every right to be irritated by her, but you cant take it out on him IF he has made it clear that he's with you... After all, short of changing his number theres nothing he can do to stop her!

On the other hand, if he's letting women think he's single, or taking calls like that when you're not around as if it's fine, different story!

That's the thing with dating a person for one month and sleeping with that person within that first month you barely know each other. I wouldn't do it because there's a strong possibility the other person is seeing other people, etc. But since you say you are official (I'm assuming he also claims it's official), he should have told her to stop calling him. It's obvious that she didn't call just to see how he's doing. She's probably likes him and/or has had previous hookups with him. But it sounds like he's not being open to others about his relationship status, hence the calls. Honestly.

You say you've "been dating this guy" and then also said "like" boyfriend/girlfriend. How can it be like that? I need clarification there. Did you both elaborated your relationship status to each other and made it official? Or did you just date him and the vibe of the dating turned to be more as if you're both girlfriend/boyfriend?

We both agree that it is official.

I'm sorry, but if I were you I would of got the phone, texted the girl back and said "It's past 1 am and I am going to bed with my girlfriend. Please don't call or text me this late thx."

I had a guy friend who did this when some guy was pursuing his girlfriend past midnight. he was so pissed off that some guy kept texting her and wouldn't leave her alone when they were trying to sleep. His girlfriend was upset for a little bit, but the guy was really after her on a romantic side and finally completely left her alone after he found out that she had a boyfriend sleeping over. Sista, your man really needs to step up to the plate. When he tells her to not call, it does not mean text back with a lingering "nvm" comment. She's still trying to get is attention wit that stunt. Hells no... e needs to assert his grounds and tell this girl for real.
