f1r3f1y3
Often when people say things like "My life is terrible", it's really about just 1 thing, and all the other things are actually not so important. You seem to be insecure about your appearance. Well most people are in some way or another. Confidence is important in being attractive, "physically" attractive. Or more accurately, the ability to fake confidence. "People think I'm a joke" Can you elaborate?
FathomFear
Dougie, your best bet is likely to work on one issue at a time. For example, if you think you could be more attractive, just focus on hitting the gym and working on your style. Don't worry about dating or anything else. Just make a list of "Things Dougie needs to work on" and systematically keep knocking things out. Over time, your confidence will improve and things will likely start falling into place. Just an idea.

I just want someone to "physically" love me To be honest, nobody thinks you're a joke. It's common for people to think that about themselves but in reality, most people could care less and don't have any opinion on you unless you did something to wrong them. People are often concerned with how other people think about them/view them... When the reality is, they're not. Why? They're too busy thinking the exact same thing. guynextdoor
Dougie I think your issue is about impressing people. I think you need to stop focusing on impressing people or making the first impression and just chill man. You really need to focus on your confidence and stop worrying what people think about you.
