jul-els
Howdy folks, There is someone new in my office who, to be blunt, I find myself being smitten by. I think she might be the shy type. I'm not normally super shy, but around her I seem to be. I tend to feel a bit flustered around her. When it comes to the workplace, I've never dated or even attempted to show interest in anyone at work, because I normally think it's too risky. But, I find myself really wanting to find a way to show interest in this woman in a way that would be work-appropriate. I don't know, I think I'm in trouble. What I'm looking for is anyone who has experience of having a serious relationship with a co-worker. If you're a guy, how did you approach the matter? If you're a gal, how did he approach you? What were the reasons why you think it worked? Your assistance is greatly appreciated! Link to comment
midnightdeirdre
Having a relationship with a co-worker is very risky, just like you said. I wouldn't take that chance if I were you. Link to comment
stuka80
Wish i could help you man. I was in a similar place a few months ago where a new woman started working in our company and instantly the attraction between us was intense and she gave me all the signals that she would be interested in having relations beyond work. I was working up the courage to ask her on a date when i found out that she was married(i never noticed the ring before). By then it was too late, feelings have already developed but i backed off completely. Now we're just friendly at work but it's a bit awkward still. Link to comment

I don't know anything about this girl outside of work, she might have a bf, I don't see a ring on her finger, but I never looked that close. It's just weird to ask her out if she's not interested, it would be really akward for me. Probably a bad idea. It's just smitteness. Plenty of other non co-worker fish in the sea. Link to comment
