Could I be pregnant?

There was no skin to skin contact.....but a lot of wetness and he did have HIS boxers off during 'dry humping.

It was 4th day of my period..

Did not get period after that day..

And still havent had it, am 3/4 days late.

*Worried*

He says it's impossible because the sperm in the pre-cum can't get through 3 layers of clothes and travel all the way in me but im' worried because as I said, there was a lot of wetness on my clothes, and sperm survives as long a there is moistness. Am I being irrational?

Yes, you're being irrational.

The reason you probably haven't had your period is because you're worrying about this.

Sperm are good, but they're not that good. They can survive in moisture, but they can't fight their way through several layers of man made fabric to try and reach your vagina.

You are absolutely 100% without a doubt not pregnant.

I am not up on my biology but aren't you supposed to be fertile about 14 days after your period? Yes you are being irrational, a rational person would get themselves educated, and if still in doubt you can get a pregnancy test at your local drugstore.

I don't know, it's been ages since I studied bio at school! I tried googling answers about this and it's confusing, some replies said that it IS possible to get pregnant on fourth day of menstrual cycle. I'm going to make him get me the kit if the need for that comes, and I hope it doesnt yet!

Thats what I thought so too, other people confirming my irrationality helps me accept it so thanks!

The layers were 'wet' thats why I was worried.

Sounds very unlikely youre pregnant.

Cheers.

Not through the clothes you're not. BUT it is not impossible to get pregnant if you have sex during menstruation. Unlikely, but not impossible, just for future reference. Go take a test, you'll feel better.

Haha although I know it's highly unlikely..but I keep thinking that if I do go get a test (just to put an end to my worry) then somehow it will turn out that I AM. So I'm just hoping that enough people say it's impossible, then I don't need to go get a test done in the first place.

VERY highly unlikely. Why not go on bc? Then you do not have to deal with freaking out.

It was just a one off thing, never again! The freak out is not worth it.

Doesn't sound like you're pregnant at all. We all have our moments of 'what if'. That being said you should educate yourself before having sex.

I didn't have sex. And yeh, we all make mistakes when getting caught up in moments of temptation.

While you can get pregnant at any time (before, during, and after your period) its very unlikely you'll get pregnant through clothing.

I hope so.

No, we don't "all" make the type of mistake that can result in pregnancy because we're tempted. Obviously humans make mistakes but I wouldn't justify what you're doing by brushing it aside that way. It's fine to do everything but intercourse but make sure you have your underwear on and if you both don't then at least have him wear a condom (and yes I understand that if you don't want to have intercourse having a condom increases the "temptation"). You can have fun and be safe also.

My comment was in response to Huntress0527's ''We all have our moments of 'what if'.''

You can only get pregnant during that middle time between periods, so it is actually possible to get pregnant during your period but extremely unlikely since it would require an extremely short menstrual cycle. If your cycle is 28 days between your periods which is average, you can only get pregnant 14 days or lets say 12 to 16 days after you had your last period. You certainly can't get pregnant all the time as OptimistiGirl suggested.

A period lasts 7 days right....I was on my fourth day...and after that day it stopped altogether, so like fifth, sixth and seventh day it didnt come - but it's confusing cos some some months I don't have all 7 days of a period and have 5/6 days but NEVER just 4 days, so that was stressing me out more.

I think it depends on the person, so you would know your body the best. I find it odd that you would be so confused about something that is so basic to who you are. I can't imagine not educating myself about something like this.

You find it odd that i'm confused about not getting my period on the 5th, 6th and 7th day as I usually do? Ofcourse it would be confusing, cos the whole situtaion IS confusing and it's nothing to do with lack of education.. it's more to do with a whole set of unlikely events all happening at once and then resulting in something else happening that is 'unlikely' but not completely impossible. I think it would be confusing to most.

Actually you can, considering you don't ALWAYs ovulate the same time every month. That and sperm can survive on the vagina for up to a week. So whole you may have unprotected sex on a 'off' day, the egg can drop on a on day and te sperm still be there. Viola, your pregnant.

No, not all periods last 7 days. Mine only last 5. It's sed not confusing - you didn't have sex, you had clothes on,... Not rocket science.

very, very true!! your cycle isn't always the same, and it is even possible, though not a very high chance, that you get pregnant while on your period, because the sperm lives a few days and your egg releases at different moments......so lukeb, you don't have only a few days in a month where you can get pregnant, those days change.....

read up on it!

but OP, no, you are not pregnant, not through layers of clothing.....period stays away cause you are worried....let it go, and the period will come.....the more you stress about it the more it will stay away.....or maybe get a test, to put your mind at ease and i guarantee you, once you see the negative, next day, your period starts....

I know every woman is different, I cn only talk about my own cycle since it's my body, my periods usually last 7 days, on some months its 5/6 days. This time I didnt get anything after the fourth day. For the first time ever. That combine with the activity that happened... It's led to confusion. Yes, I had clothes on, he didnt. Yes, sperm can't get through clothes, but also sperm can survive in moistness.

Am trying to relax and not worry.

i too had periods of 7 days, always, like clockwork, but then suddenly they went to 4 or 5 days....no clue why, hormones, body changes......if you got pregnant that day, your period would not stop the day after, has nothing to do with that, you couldn't even be fertilized yet in that one day......stop worrying
