We were together for 4 years and it took 2-3 months (but I had emotionally checked out aout 2 years before.)

My first serious boyfriend and I were together for a year.

He dumped me, then straight away started seeing one of my friends... they are still together now, married with kids, almost 20 years later!

It took a while to get over him, mainly I think because I was so young.

I don't remember exactly how long.

Now if I ever think of him I smile, because we had some fun times

It took me about six months and since we worked together at the time, I had to see him practically everyday! It was pure torture. But I'm over it now lol. That was years ago.
