OptomisticGirl
Honestly the best thing my husband and I did in NY was just start walking, I can't remember this resturant but we happened accross it while trying to find a place to eat in the lower east side one night. AMAZING food and so beautiful. Link to comment

octour
Spring Street Lounge for drinks and music. Five Points for food on Great Jones and Lafayette. Forget where Balthasar is but it is ridiculously good. If the weather is nice check out the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park for a drink or two or three. It's next to the ice rink. It's a nice walk to get to and can check out Central Park as well. Off Central Park South head north through the 'mall'. That's the place that you see in a lot of movies with the park benches on either side with all the sycamore trees. That heads to Bethesda, also a really cool place to see that you've seen in movies. Make a right and go over the hill. It's right on the lake. Also, for pizza is Angelo's on 53rd just south of the park. I think between 8th and 9th. The pizza is some of NY's best. Those are just some of my favorites. But to tell you the truth, I can't really remember having a bad meal at a decent looking restaurant in NYC. If it looks nice, chances are the food is good too. Have fun. Link to comment
