scared and alone
I just emailed my grandma telling her how much she means to me? The thing is, she is the SWEETEST lady EVER and the best grandma and although all my grandparents are alive, she is the only one that I even talk to because the rest are being petty and don't even try to contact me. And she has just always been there for me, my entire life and I wanted her to know how much she means to me and that I appreciate her. And I've also been the closest with her. She's like a mom to me. I could always depend on her and she always showed nothing but love, to all of her grandkids. I just wanted her to know how amazing she is, because, she never hears it enough. Link to comment
Seraphim
Of course it is not lame! That is very nice. What a lovely thing to do! I think it is great. Link to comment
PlayingAces
That's not lame at all! Cherish your grandmother while you have her. My grandmother passed away last year, and I miss her more every day. Link to comment
Capricorn3
There is never, never, never anything lame about letting someone know you care about them. A lot more people should do this, imo. She'll treasure this forever. Link to comment

Seraphim
^ I think so too. I wish I had my grandmother to tell that to. She has been dead for 32 years now. Link to comment
scared and alone
thanks you guys. I just had a dream last night about the grandparents that are not talking to me and it made me appreciate her even more. On top of that, her husband (my other grandparent) is a huge jerk that talks down to her, so I felt compelled to let her know how much I adore her. And ever since my dad died, she has been the only parental figure I have had so I could not ever imagine what I would ever do without her. She means everything to me. She is 71 now and I so hope I at least have 25 more years with her. I just didn't want to wait until mothers day, when it is an obvious 'oh you are great and i love you' message. I wanted it to be right now, when it isn't forced. Link to comment
