Hi im 19 years old and 5ft'2, At the moment i weigh 8 stone 2, which im aware is a good weight and any less than 8 stone would be abit daft. However i started eating healthy over a month ago, all i really cut out was so much drinking at the weekend and less bread cos thats all i lived on and drinking more water. That worked great and now i am really happy to be 8st 2. The only problem is I am not toning up at all. My belly doesnt seem any different to me and i have been eating well for 2months and been goin the gym for atleast a month. Im really intrested at slimming tablets at the moment ive read up about some T5's and to be fair i cant see them being unsafe because they sell them in some gyms, not my one, but in a good few, I know alot of people are against them but im asking from people who have expierienced them or might kno alittle about them, are there any that actually help to get rid of that extra bit on your tummy?!?! because although im happy with my weight im not happy with how i look and its really starting to annoy me and push me to going the wrong way. I,e im eating less now and getting really narky alot and breaking out, and its because i just cant understand why im not toning up when im going the gym and eating well. Any help is much appriciated and any1 who can tell me abit about diet pills... Thanks veryyyy much

Lots of unsafe products get a wide distribution in the sales channel. You can't assume just because gyms sell them that the product is safe. Gyms and other stores sell them because they make money on them.

It's great you started eating healthy and working out a month ago. But you need to give it several months to show results. Be patient, this is a lifestyle change and not a quick fix. Over time you'll gradually see the results.

DO NOT TAKE THOSE PILLS!!! They are unnecessary and dangerous.

What exercises are you doing at the gym? Changing your routine might do the trick. You might have to spend more time than you are, too. And, you might just have to accept a bit of softness in the middle (at least apparent softness...) Most men are not more attracted to women with six pack abs, believe me. I don't think women are looking for that in other women either. Just get healthy. If you are you'll be attractive and feel great, too. Diet pills will do the opposite.

Exercise does not necessarily mean fat loss by itself. If you're trying to lose weight and you're standing on the scale for an hour straight wondering when the pounds are going to start flying off you're going to drive yourself crazy. Don't even look at a scale more than once a week and keep exercising. You're building muscle mass by doing so and yes that is a good thing.

When you first start exercising your muscles are going to develop very quickly and you'll notice that you haven't lost a pound. The thing is you might have gained a half of a pound of muscle and lost a half of pound of fat. That is a good thing. Give it more time. Don't judge your "weight" by what a scale says, judge it by how you look and how your old clothes fit you.

How many pounds is that?

Also, how fast/slow you lose weight really depends on the individual. (I knew a kid who lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks!) But I've also heard losing 2 pounds a week is the healthy way to go. But really, it depends on the person.

Absolutely. Gym that sell slim tablets are scams. I would never trust a gym that would sell scam product that would endanger my health and even question the club director and his/her personal trainers' qualifications. Hell I'd quit my membership at that gym.

I hate to break it to you, but 2 months is nothing. You shouldn't be expected to lose much weight within that time. It took me six months to build my 4-pack abs and slightly over ten months to get a 6-pack (I'm 5'7" and weigh 145 lbs due to muscles... was 160 when I started the gym a year and a half ago). Type of exercises are vital because if you work only ONE muscle group all the time, your body WILL shift the fat to one area of your body that you aren't working out. It happened to me which was why I got a trainer.

Scales lie: it's the body fat that matters the most and scales DO NOT measure those. Muscle pack in and over time your body fat will zip itself out as long a you are frequently working out.

So buckle up and give it time. If you need help lifting weight and see a trainer walking around, don't hesitate to ask how to do it properly. If you use equipment properly, then you will get well defined results quickly.

Not true. It could mean the person isn't properly nourishing him/herself. Weight should not be looked at alone. My personal trainer had a 16 year old client who weighed 94 lbs... and according to the body fat tests him and the club director used (who have degrees in fitness and nutrition), she was on the obese line because her body had a lot of fat percentage.

I think you need to look at your diet. Sure, don't eat yeasty rolls but make sure you are eating fish, unsalted nuts, plenty of veggies, lean meat, etc. Stay away from too much bread, sweets, etc. I found that I wasn't losing weight because my body was storing my food, thinking that I wouldn't be getting anymore because i wasn't eating much or enough.

Yep diet. I'm a firm believer 90-95% of results will come from what you eat. The hardest part is breaking down every detail (much like financial report) of your daily food intake and do number of calculations to get an idea what/how/when you should be eating.

The body is all about balance. It doesn't like sudden change nor it's a bad thing as it will adjust over time. Results always takes time. Pills whether it's theromogenic products or some 'miracle' fat burning pill, without proper exercise and nutrition it'll all go to waste. There will never be a pill that will give you the body need without eating properly. It's impossible in nature.

If you're feeling sick or breaking out via cutting calories, you're lacking something. Whether it's over cutting calories, not enough nutrients in the system, not enough sleep and so many other variables. For most females you shouldn't cut out more than 1,000 calories per day. If you are, all those numbers on the scale is simply lying to you with loss of water and muscle mass. A lot of times skin breaking out or feeling weak is result of nutrient imbalance aside from not being hydrated enough.

The good news is there are a lot of tools and information on properly adjusting your diet optimized for your body. You may have to adjust actual food intake, exercise different everyday and keep the body confused while staying active and focusing on healthier lifestyle; you'll then see results.

All of this. I wouldn't say 90-95% is diet, but a giant percentage is. You can workout all you want, but if you eat crap, you'll feel/look like crap.

Couple other points - your body doesn't SHIFT fat around. There are two types of fat distribution. Gynoid (generally female) which means fat gets stored to thighs/hips/extremities. Android (male type) fat distribution means most of the fat is stored in the abdominal region. A male can have female type fat distribution and vice versa. Abdominal fat is much easier to get rid of, that's why you hear so many women complaining that guys have an easier time losing weight

Body fat % also doesn't mean much without knowing where that fat lies. Those scales that use electrical conductance to tell your body fat % are accurate, but they do not deal with fat distribution over the body. Skinfolds and waist circumference are great predictors in combination with BMI (Body mass index, it's your weight in kg divided by height in metres).

Also, as was said, do not just look at scale weight. You can be 115lbs and be much healthier than someone who's 100lbs because muscle weighs more than fat. A lot of people get discouraged because they'll work out like crazy, eat well, and gain weight. Well, that's a good way to gain weight. Muscle > fat.

Keep working out. Don't take pills. They don't work, or if they , they'll work in a very unhealthy way.

Liquid b12 and vit d both are very useful to reduce the weight very quickly. These are recommended by the best doctors and you can use them without any hesitation.

I know of no such doctors that advise something like this. This sounds like an excessively dangerous recommendation. Especially without any foundation for what dosage to take.

People should consult their physician before starting any kind of supplements like this. A trusted physician.

Those are vitamins used in 5 hour energy shots. If you consume them often it can potentially cause damage to your nervous system.

Just like anything, too much is bad for you. B12 is essential for energy metabolism but most people get more than enough from meat. Vit D has tons of research behind it, it's a great supplement. It is fat soluble though, so you need to watch your dosage.
