Should I wish my ex a happy birthday?

She broke up with me about 3 months ago and i made all the classic mistakes, then we went NC for a week and she started contacting me, however she was really cold and dry while we would text/talk so i decided to go into another period of NC, today is her birthday, do i text her a happy birthday text? and yes, i would really like to get back together with this girl (but i don't need to)

 

thoughts? ideas? suggestions? Thanks in advance!

NO! I'm telling you I wish I hadn't. My ex broke up with me, her birthday was 3 weeks later. I took her out for her birthday and gave her a present because she was lying to me about actually seeing someone. Don't do it. I have regeretted doing everything I did during our BU. I was debating this same thing myself and then suddenly saw the light and decided not to! I realised that he dumped me and I have waaaaaaaay too much pride to put myself out there....I would say that it is bad that my pride is preventing me from reconciling with him but then he is the one who dumped me....if he wants me then he has to come to me of his own accord if not I will move on eventually I am sure, even if it is a long time I will not make myself look a fool! I already gave my best to that relationship and I truly feel that it is his loss right now and the longer that nc goes on for the more I feel this, I'm going to keep it up and pray I don't bump in to him and meet someone better when I am ready

She actually just got out of a rebound so yeah, she isn't seeing someone. and didn't see this coming... she just contacted me...

 

Now I waited an hour and responded, not really sure if i should say happy birthday or just continue the conversation

 

I'm still awaiting a reply from her

 

If i get nothing in a few hours should i say something like "Oh btw, happy birthday" or should I just leave it?

Usually, I would say its not necessary, but since she initiated contact just today, it wouldn't hurt to send the "oh btw..." text. And then do not engage in conversation or anything further and leave it at that.
