Goodfellas
Hey ENA, With the hustle and bustle and go-go environments most of us are exposed to on a daily basis, how do you find time to slooooooow dooooown? Lately I've tried meditation, but I'm "not good" at it. I can't stop myself from thinking, but I did feel calmer immediately afterwards. I have also taken time after work to just close my eyes, and 'unplug' (i.e. no cell, computer, iPod) and breathe. A milder form of meditation, if you will. I also force my ass to the gym which is a great stress buster. So, how do you slow down? Link to comment
LDRohnos
Every day in the morning I sit on my back porch and stare at the horizon for 15-20 minutes and think of nothing. It's quiet and peaceful and it clears my mind from the all BS that is about to follow for the next 10 hours. Try it. Link to comment

sadchick83
Meditation takes years to perfect. I know people who have been meditating for years and can only silence their mind for a minute or two. It takes time, but keep trying. Link to comment
Goodfellas
LDRohnos - Wow, I feel relaxed after just reading that! What a great way to start the day. sadchick83 - The class instructor said he's been meditating for 26 years and still makes discoveries, so it's def a work in progress Link to comment
