I don't know if this is pure coincidence, but just about everyone I know that has a deaf cat describes them as laid back and say they make great pets. My dog started becoming friends with a cat in my neighborhood. It wouldn't run when he barked, then I found out from it's owner that it is deaf. No wonder it deals with his big mouth. lol Maybe your the sole purpose of your ex coming into your life was so that you could meet YOUR CAT. One is blind in one eye, one has a bobtail (apparently it was cut off when he was a baby) and one is semi-paralyzed and has to wear a diaper. Apparently I collect the misfits!
