Adam10
3 years ago I just began University. I also started dating an American girl. We were 18/19 and now we are 21/22. She was studying in England for only 5 months originally but because she met me she transferred over here permanently. Well I have graduated by she is yet to. She has 8 months until she graduates and then she has to leave the country. She is going to be a teacher and is unlikely to get a job over here. We've been together 3 years and its been perfect. She's silly, fun, thoughtful and sexy. If she goes back to america I have two choices, let her go (knowing this 8 months before it happens is tough too) or follow her. If I follow her I will need to get married to her sometime soon. I have very little money and my family would not be able to afford flights over to us. I've been to america every summer we have been dating but i'm still afraid of supporting myself in a different country. I think it's a case of, if I don;t do it i could regret it forever, if i do, i can always come back and start fresh. Should I quit while the getting's good? or stick with her though the darkness? Stay_home
What are her thoughts on leaving the country and the current state of the relationship?
sjjohnson89
Well, i understand how hard this must be, i know the feeling of falling for someone who is in another country. I think, you need to talk to her about all this if you havent already, it is very important you do so and see where you both are, your thoughts and feelings on the matter. If you truly love each other then you would likely be left with no choice but to follow her back to the states. I think for now just have a long in depth talk with her on all this, its serious and would affect both of your lives so you need to make sure you would be making the right decisions.
