motley802
Depending on the mood and place. But girls/women is one of the most discussed topics. Followed by sports, job, cars, drinks and life in general. Link to comment

ApocalypseDreams
Depends on the group of guys I'm with. Usually topics include: women, the week in sport, politics, our jobs, funny things we heard and music. With some whimsical batter interspersed. Link to comment
Fudgie
I'm told that *some* men will rehash cool sexual encounters (with girlfriends or otherwise) with each other, stuff they did, etc. Link to comment
motley802
so when you talk about girls...what exactly are you discussing? the girls you talk to? girls in general? how they look,,behave, the problems?? Everything. Most common statements you are going to hear are - "Dude...she is cute" "She is so HOT!!!" "She has so much attitude....her BF must be getting mad" "Sexy hips...huh...she must be fun in bed" "Dude...did you look at her dress....she was showing so much cleavage" "She is out of my league" Commonly heard amongst nerdy guys And of course..."what a rack" Especially if its (to quote my crazy friend) "humongous" Link to comment

Sorry being little nerdy but its like - # of sexual encounters you had with attractive ladies is directly proportional to your coolness factor. But if you are rehashing too much then your coolness factor will start going downwards. Link to comment

trolleycar
It all depends on the guys interest and age. I am a volunteer Fire Fighter , Photographer, Pilot and Train buff Why oh why will my Wife or girl friend never lessen to my whole statement before saying it will never work. And when we get together depending on the group the talk starts with Then the subject turns to Fire fighting, What is new from Cannon or Nikon, that $8500.00 800 mm F2.8 prime lens I have been drooling over for the last year and half. And if a group of flying buddy's get together the talk go to flying like can you believe that a Cessna 172 is now going for $150,000.00 I should bought it back when I started flying and I could gotten it for just around $10,000.00 I should gotten the 172 instead of getting married. and when my Railfan Buddies meet the conversation turn to trains like does who is getting the BNSF SD-45 that I saw in the MEPO at East Deerfield yard last Saturday. The wife is always complaining at me about chasing trains again. She should be happy not spending my money in a bar trying to pick up some chick. I heard My wife talking on the phone and she was complaining about my chasing trains. She told her friend I can compete with any woman but I can not compete with those dam trains. When he is around the railroad someone could stale his pants and he would not even know it. Link to comment
FathomFear
Personally speaking, my discourse doesn't change all that much depending on the gender of the people I'm around. I find things like intelligence level, education, etc, dictate that far more than gender does. But then again I'm gay so the dynamic is a bit different. Link to comment
Fringe
It depends on the guys. Some guys talk about work, some talk about women, some talk about sport, some talk about nothing in particular. Some guys also just don't talk about anything, they just sit around and watch tv with the guys and maybe the only things they say would be "Want another beer?" Link to comment
Atrium
I simply can't talk to girls about the same things I talk to guys about, unlike FathomFear. 95% of the time I have little in common with girls when it comes to music, movies, hobbies, sports, video games, working out etc., that's why I prefer talking to guys (unless the girl is hot). I usually talk to girls about stuff I find kind of boring to talk about: classwork, what our plans are in life, what's going on at my job, making jokes in general It depends on the guys. Some guys talk about work, some talk about women, some talk about sport, some talk about nothing in particular. Some guys also just don't talk about anything, they just sit around and watch tv with the guys and maybe the only things they say would be "Want another beer?" That's true for me, I don't need an endless flow of conversation going. Link to comment

jaysmaury
It really does depend on what group of guys we're talking to. For me, there are 2 different groups, with some overlap between the two: Work and Personal. When I am out of work and able to act not-so-professional, guy talk revolves around the hottest women in our general vicinity. We just love you gals so darn much. Link to comment
Fudgie
I don't talk about sports at all. I'm not even going to beat around the bush, I HATE sports. I wouldn't date a guy who watched sports because that's how much I dislike watching them - it's something I can't compromise on, LOL. I do talk about movies and TV shows with girls though. I'm really into crime shows and some dramas (Dexter, mostly) and documentaries and a lot of horror, suspense, and mystery movies. Don't know too many girls who like the sort of gory stuff that I'm into but heck, I'll talk about it anyway. Oh, and court cases. Anyone who knows me knows that I'll bring up current court cases in conversations. I follow almost all of them. Other than school work and a few other interests, that's pretty much what I talk about.
