Tried searching for similar topic. Been thinking about getting this piercing for awhile, just wanted opinions.

Any pros or cons if you had a partner with one? Does it feel better for the guy or girl? Also what do women think of when a guy has his penis pierced?

I had an ex with her clit pierced and she loved it made sex much more fun plus it got her off often. I know this wont be near the same but I think it would be fun. I am very open and experimental, also I am single but regardless I know once done I have to let it heal and what not.

Thanks in advance

I've noticed a few guys with them at my local gym. Never asked them about it though, heh, as it would be a rather awkward conversation to broach. If they intrigue you I say go for it. Just make sure you research it thoroughly beforehand so you can get up to speed on the risks and aren't caught off guard by the process or anything that might happen as a result of going through the procedure.

Here is my learning for the day! Ouch...it looks painful! I think that would be a total turnoff for me. I notice that Wikipedia doesn't explain how it came to be known as Prince Albert piercing. Did Prince Albert, Queen Victoria's husband, have one..or maybe it was named after Prince Albert, British Columbia? Anybody know?

The Prince Albert piercing is named after Prince Albert who was the husband of Queen Victoria of England. He was reputeded to have had this piercing done prior to his marriage to the queen around 1825, at that time Beau Brummel started the craze for ultra tight mens trousers. Because the pants were so tight, the penis needed to be held to one side or the other so as not to create an unsightly bulge. To accomplish this some men had their penis pierced to allow it to be held by a hook on the inside of the trousers, this piercing was called a "Dressing Ring" at the time because tailors would ask if a gentleman dressed to the left or the right and tailor the trousers accordingly, tailors to this day will ask if you dress to the left or right.

Hmmm....learn something new everyday! But I have done a good bit of research on this, recovery, risks and what not. Just wanted to hear opinions for both pros and cons. I know pain isn't a problem, I'm not worried about that. But would think it would be fun and kinky as well as very unique.

But seriously is it that pleasurable for a woman? I am guess doggy style would be the best for it but idk.

Also would you ladies think too much into it, ie. guy with one is a player?

Every woman you meet will have a different opinion about it.

I'm attracted to body mods so I wouldn't think anything other than, "What a surprise! This should be fun!" A more conservative person might be uncomfortable with it.

Do you have any other piercings/tattoos in more visible areas? If a woman is attracted to you with these things in plain sight, she will probably be very receptive to more private ones.

I don't have any visible tattoos or piercings due to very business like atmosphere for work. I am, I guess you could say preppy casual in terms of dress and style. I just like to be unique in a few ways. And thinking women that I would connect with would find this very interesting. Any one have any ideas of how much this would cost to get professionally done? I would find a very good reputable place of course.

Personally I wouldn't like it. I'd worry about chipping a tooth, or losing it inside me, or splitting the condom, or maybe it might come unscrewed and cut me inside. I wouldn't really fancy dating a man with that sort of piercing. But then again, I don't like men with any piercings or tattoos at all, it just isn't my thing - and a lot of other women do like them. I suppose it depends on what type of woman you want to attract...

My ex had a PA plus another thick one going accross not far from the PA, with a stud in it. In addition he had a tiny one in his foreskin but that fell off at some point. It added a bit of extra sensation when we has sex. Sometimes it felt good and sometimes it was a bit too much (depending on mood, sensitivity etc) and then he would take it off.

One practical implication is that you can't really stand up and pee anymore.

My ex would often take his off during BJs. He did lose it inside me once and I only noticed a few days later *embarrassed*. But it never impacted negatively on condoms. We relied purely on condoms for BC and it was never an issue.

Excellent response, DrKitten!

The price of a PA should be in the range of 60-120 plus the cost of the jewelry (of course, some shops cost more; that's local pricing here in the San Francisco Bay Area). I would interview the people at any shop you consider: do they sound competent? Are they generally responsive to questions? Do they respond quickly, knowledgeably, and positively when asked about sterile procedures? Do you feel comfortable being the in the shop? Then you've probably found a good place. I did all that when I got my nipples done and had a wonderful experience with much less pain than I anticipated, and I do the same process for tattoo shops and have never been disappointed by my choices.

Oh yeah, one other thing about a PA: since it makes a new exit hole from the urethra, urinals will no longer be your friend, and you'll have to clean up more carefully after you pee. Be prepared for this going in and you'll be okay. Some people opt for ampallangs instead because of this very reason, though!

The response you get to it, as DrKittedn says, will vary, but anyone really turned off by it probably won't be a good fit for you (pun intended) anyway, so perhaps it can act as a litmus test. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy!

Yea, I am kinda worried about the whole trouble with peeing thing. Might look into a different type of piercing then but just looking to add to the whole sexual experience always been a little kinky.

I don't see it as compensating though, its not like I will be running around telling everyone I have one. Some I guess might see it that way and I am okay with people viewing it that way, and might help weed out some that are a little more closed minded unlike myself.

Regardless, if I decide I don't like it I can always take it out and it will heal up. I am definitely going to check cleanliness of shop and confidence of whoever is going to do it as well as reviews online. I am also aware of the heal time needed, which is good timing seeing I am not sleeping with anyone at the moment. And I don't usually sleep around.

Also how easy is it to take out for say a sex session, if it is too uncomfortable? I definitely understand there are sometimes where things are sensitive. But is it difficult to put back in?

Mine doesn't go up and through the hole so I do not have any issues with dribbling while peeing.

Mine is easy to take out and pretty easy to put back in.

I assume the PA being more difficult and sensitive though.

I don't wear it anymore but the holes have not closed up.

Having a piercing down there is something which you will find is like tattoos.

People either like them or they do not.

I've heard the piercing being related to wanna be porn star and immaturity before.

Compensating.....

I don't think so.

You have to be pretty confident if you are going to get one.

In my case an ex asked if I would get one and I thought...why not, you only live once.
