I went on a date with a guy Thursday night. We are both 23 and met online. Actually for both of us, we are the first person to meet from a dating site. He texted me the next day, Friday, asking when Id see him again. I responded on Saturday saying Sunday night at the earliest bc I was busy Friday and we texted back and forth. Sunday night (last night) we went out again. He kissed me at the end. Also told me he doesnt ask many girls out and hes never been in love nor had a relationship last longer than 6 months. He asked to see me tomorrow night (Tuesday night). Just texted me now too....

Not that it matters but we first talked online last Monday. Texted alot Tues and Wednesday before our first date. I have only known him for a week now and we havent had a single day without contact.

Is this guy super into me or something? I am used to guys going days without texting me and much longer inbetween dates. I like him alot so far, he is caring and attractive and I like the attention so far. However, I am graduate student with an internship and part time job, I am super busy and I am not sure if he will be a smothering type or something....or may he comes on strong and leaves quickly and thats why he hasnt ever had a serious relationship? Am I overthinking this?

Wow, I would feel pretty crowded and smothered if someone did that to me (ie: texting me all the time and wanting to see me too soon after a previous date). Sure sounds like he is desperate for something to happen. I guess he hasn't figured out that less is more and in order for someone to miss you and want to see you, you actually have to be away from the person!!!

I would take all this as a red flag I'm afraid.

Next time you talk (not just text), I'd tell him just what you're saying here. You enjoy and appreciate the attention, and really like him, but you want him to understand that you have a lot of commitments that demand a lot of your time, and don't want to lead him down a path if what he's looking for is someone who can be available more than you. Make it clear that if he's ok with our schedule being demanding and hectic, you'd love to see where it goes, since so far, you enjoy spending time with him - you just don't want him to have unrealistic expectations about how much time you have available to spend with him.

As long as you make sure you're upfront about what page you're on, whether it matches something he's good with is in his court - but you'll have laid things out so he isn't saying later "I didn't realize your schedule was so packed!"

Honeymoon phase. Half the time this constant texting doesn't even last very long.

Not having a relationship last more than 6 months is okay, especially because he is only 23 as well. So he doesn't have as much life experience or relationship experience as a 30 plus person or even a 40 plus person etc. It could mean that he either turns into a douche bag or he dates the wrong kind of women, but at least realizes it and ends it or gets dumped a lot. Better than knowing he had relationships last for 2 years with 1 year of it being that he couldn't find a way to break it off.

Sounded like he is not very experienced in dating scene and his action shows. But I think the odds are he is really into you and is having a hard time holding back. If you are having problem with it then explain him you guys should slow down instead of diving into it full speed
