Special Surprise Ideas

So my bf of 3 months just left for a 4 day trip. He is the so sweet and wonderful and romantic so I want to do something special for him the night he gets back, I am thinking about either a picnic in the living room or balcony. Any ideas? tips? I am not much of a cook so I need some simple snack ideas and how to set the mood, i have a very tiny table in the balcony, so not much will fit on it, I was thinking maybe a blanket but it might not be very comfortable. any thoughts or ideas are welcome

you could have the fragrance candle burning when he comes home. that's always romantic.

 

make your favorite dessert. you could make a cake or cupcake.

Is it summer where you are? Can't you pack it up with the blanket and go somewhere pretty?

 

Bottle of fizzy, strawberries, some nibbles... Nice

 

Chocolate fondue could be pretty cute if you did want to stay in.

September offers some very comfortable temps in my part of the world. If you're getting the same, a picnic is a great idea. How about a salad, sandwiches or just a cold drink on a blanket underneath the tree.

Thank you guys. The reason I wanted to do it inside was so I can light up candles, I know he loves that kind of thing and I haven't done anything like that for him until now. But now I am thinking maybe I should buy a picnic basket and take the show on the road lol (to a park)
