e-harmony matches

Quick question. Is there a way to see whether an e-Harmony match is a paid up member or not? I completed my compatability test and profile yesterday and in 2 days have been matched with 17 men, several of whom seem good on paper although I can't see their photos. I've heard quite a lot about inactive and non-paying profiles and obviously don't want to spend up to £112 for nothing.

I think a good portion of matches on eharmony are inactive because they don't delete them, even if a member has inactivated their profile.

 

There's no way to know if someone is still a paying customer. That's how they wrangle people in.

 

Out of all the OLD I did, I found eharmony to be the most expensive, and the most useless.

Yeah have you tried a free site first? OKCupid has been pretty good to me... would maybe avoid plentyoffish though!

My girlfriend joined harmony and complained everyone was ugly. She actually call the company and they gave her a full refund.

So if you are not happy, it seems they will give you your money back. All she said was that it was a secretive site....you cannot see to much of the other members.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have a look at OK Cupid.

 

I like the sound of some of the guys. Just would prefer to know they are bonafide before I pay up.
