this guy makes me want to laugh - totally being sarcastic

so i met this guy from an online dating website, not in person. talked on the phone several times and texted back and fourth for a few weeks. he disappears for a month or so and then reappears and started calling and texting me again without any explanation. i didn't ask because i'm not even really interested but i just find his behavior interesting. and then the past 2 weekends he mentioned that he has relatives from Florida visiting. i wasn't even asking to met or anything but i feel like he's trying to make an excuse to not meet me. but why suddenly call and text me again? not sure what my point is to even write this thread because he's not even my type. just guess i'm curious because there's all kinds of people out there. he's one weird character.
