Online dating - When do you switch from "messages" to external email messages?

Hi, sorry so many questions!

If I message a woman through the online dating site, and she (hypothetically) writes back, then in my next email should I provide my home email address? If not, how many back-and-forths is it usually before someone gives out an email or phone number?

Also, if I re-respond, won't my new message get lost in the "100's of messages" that the woman probably receives every day? Thanks very much.

It depends on the site. Some of them try to route you through 'guided communication' while on others the messaging is pretty much like email anyway. If I were you I'd offer an alternate email address and let her know you'd welcome hearing from here there but can continue chatting through the service if she feels more comfortable.

I doubt it. If she's taken the time to respond to you in the first place then she has some level of interest and will probably notice your response back. Assuming she's a real person and not a bot trying to get you to join some camera site, that is.

Cheers.
