why does he say that he calls me when he in stead he won't ???

I am just wondering why this guy is saying that he will call me after i speak to him on the phone , when he won't??? Why would someone do that ??? U don't have to say it if don't do it...i didn't ask him to call me ....what does that mean ....really??

I think it's just something that people say as a polite way to hang up. I wouldn't take it for gospel. Just relax and let him contact you in his own time.

People say this so they can get off the phone. People always say this at the end of conversations, they don't just say "Ok bye!"

But we had agreed to meet and that's why i was waiting for his call!!!! I said to him: i call u on Thursday and he said: No, call u tomorrow after work....so of course i am waiting for his call and i put all my plans on hold thinking that we will go out later ...

It wasn't a date...he is my friend ...i wanted to see him on Friday , but he could not make it so i just thought to say ...never mind i call u on Thursday and we chat , he could have said....ok, chat on Thursday ...but he said...i call u tomorrow after work...so all day i was waiting .... i didn'd want to take other plans in case he 'd have called me and then i really wanted to see him , but i was doing st else...

When two people are "friends" then he owes you no obligation. Yes, he does in the sense as he's your friend, but you know friends, they call whenever they want and do whatever they want because that's what friends do!

But if you didn't have plans and were just going to randomly chat on the phone and are only friends, I don't see the big deal. He probably got busy or had other things to do. People do that with friends all the time, you are only noticing because you like him and want more. Right?

Why are you waiting for him? If he knows that you like him and he's not calling you to make plans, he's not that interested. Maybe just move on and date others.

yes, he was an ex , but my question was ....why some people don't call back when they say they will....there is nothing between the two of us now....i often drive him to work ...we see each other often ....we chat as normal friends ....

The answer is exactly the same. Stop calling him, stop driving him, stop seeing him and chatting. If he wants to step up and fix the problem, he knows how to reach you.

 

If you're squeamish about doing this, you can just say, "Oh, were you expecting me to drive you? I wasn't clear about that--I never heard from you and just figured you'd found you own way."
