Sunshin3
I got the Baby Bullet to make my own baby food. But I have to say, the task is rather daunting. I'm not much of a cook so I'm always worrying its not going to taste good for him. But so far he's eaten everything! How many of you make/made your own? What kind of things did you make the most? thejigsup
I always made my own baby food for my son and only used the manufactured stuff when we were out for the day or something like that. I usually steamed veggies and then put them in the food processor. He loved yams, carrots, and broccoli and absolutely hated spinach and green beans! I just put bananas, sliced apples, or other fruits into the food processor and he had fruits, also. When he got old enough to eat meat, I just mashed his meat up a bit. I liked knowing exactly what went into what he ate. The only thing I gave him on a regular basis that I did not make myself was the baby cereal. I think those are fine. I breastfed him the first year for the same reason, no company could feed him better than I could myself. I congratulate you for doing this!!! Link to comment

My reply is almost identical to the above, so thejigsup saved me from typing it all out, lol (Thanks Jigs!). I very very rarely ever bought the manufactured stuff and when I did, it was mostly when I was out somewhere longer than expected, so I just bought something to fill the gap. Other than that, I made everything myself. Link to comment

Sounds like you're doing great if he's eating everything you offer him! And don't worry, by the time he's toddling you'll have cooking down to a fine art. I couldn't cook either but I had to learn pretty sharp. Just keep experimenting with different foods as he grows. Link to comment
