CrazyKing
Now seriously - I don't know what to do with myself. I spend day and night thinking about what I need - a job, a girlfriend, MY OWN LIFE - but I always end up summing up that neither one of my needs are realistic. About a month ago I finally found a job - with my experience I don't have any real perspectives, I had to fill printer toners, my health deteriorated after one week and two days, I had to leave and now I'm unemployed again. I worked really hard, 10-12 hours a day, the dirtiest and lowest paid job in the whole company, my salary would have been so low, I could not buy anything but food and a pair of socks, so finding a girlfriend with such a job would have been impossible (I could not get to any bars, clubs, concerts - NO MONEY, No own appartment or room). Jobs in my country are so freakin' hard to find if you don't know russian or have experience - FORGET IT. Therefore 3/4 of my friends have left this country practically for the rest of their lives. I have a list in my mind in what order I want to accomplish something: 1. Find a job - hopefully with a salary enough to: 2. Find an appartment or at least a room to rent and: 3. Buy clothes and get the necessary basics (being 25 and still asking my mother for money is DISGUSTING) 4. Find a girlfriend I know you'd say: "Go and get any job out there" - But it ain't that easy, 90% of all job offers demand knowing russian (due to the minority living here), 99% demand experience, so the 1% is what I can aim for and the salaries there are often below the minimum. Today I walked around town - guys with girlfriends, all of them have their own appartments or rooms, why can't I have that? Seriously, I'm a talented person, socially active, but I just don't have any self-confidence towards the opposite sex because I'm still living with my mother, am unable to find a job for almost two freaking years. The only things I do now for a few bucks just enough to buy a beer and cigarettes is making 3D images of furniture. Last time I had sex was a few months ago with a girl I met at a club, we had to do it in a staircase because I don't have any place to bring her - I really wish I had a job, a room or appartment and a warm bed big enough for two, because I don't want to have sex on cold concrete for the rest of my life. FathomFear
I think we all occasionally find ourselves in situations where we have a long, daunting list of things we want or need in order to be happy. The trick is to not attack the list as whole. It will seem overwhelming and discourage you from taking action. Ideally, you should just target one of the items on your list and mostly ignore everything else. Typically speaking, by the time you check off one or two of the items the rest naturally fall into place. Link to comment

What worries me most is that I know that I want to start with finding a job, but I don't know where to go. I don't even know where to learn russian, courses are awailable, but people just don't apply for them, I might wait a year until they start. And if I do find a job, my salary would most likely be the minimum, so I should need a girl to share the rent or continue living with my mother or my brother (that's what I do not want) Link to comment
Jetta
Is it possible to relocate to where russian isn't such a need? Either that or learn the language because you have to do what it takes to succeed in the country you decide to reside in. Link to comment
Angel Irulan
I think you should do what your friends did and relocate to another nation. I'm serious actually. If you need Russian and don't have it, why should you need it where you are if you are living in a nation where you were born? I don't know what the deal is. But all your friends can't be wrong!!! Find out the requirements to get into the UK, Canada or the USA and go. Today! Angel Link to comment
