SVSV
I don't know whether there is any advice to be given or maybe I'm just venting. I feel like I'm getting hot for nothing. I started trying online dating sites about six weeks ago. So far, nothing has progressed past the e-mail stage. But I recently started with a better site for me, and things are improving. Even with that, the people with whom there is the most mutual attraction live hundreds of miles from me. Link to comment
SVSV
I guess it's too late to edit. I have had a couple phone calls, but with someone 1,000 miles away. Link to comment
Dracia
Sometimes that's just how it is. Love is blind, and does not take distance into account. My boyfriend is 5000 miles away! People tell me all the time to date someone closer to home, but why should I when I'm in love already? When I was younger, I did take their advice and date closer to home because I believed me and him would never find the means to meet. But it was pointless. I didn't love those guys. If you don't want to invest too much time, money and effort into a long distance relationship then that is fine too. For a lot of people, it's not for them. Consider your options, weigh the pros and cons. Do you really like the guys who called from 1000 miles away or not? Give it some time. Register with some more sites. You'll find your somebody. Just be careful out there. There are a lot of married men on dating sites from what I have heard, but that may just be stereotyping. Link to comment
SVSV
Thanks for the encouragement. I recently heard back from someone only 200 miles away. Link to comment
