What's the best way to ask a girl out at work?

This may sound like a simple question but I'm hesitant to ask this girl out at work.

 

I feel that she has a crush on me but I'm not positive. I could be wrong. But I've had a crush on this girl for a few months and it's only gotten stronger.

 

The only way for me to know for sure is to just do it. We don't work for the same company but we at the same project. We have a lot of interaction at work. It seems like we are always trying to find ways to talk to each other.

 

It's rare for us to ever be alone at work. I have her number but the idea of calling her after work to ask her out freaks me out. I don't want to ask her through a text, (I think that's tacky).

 

Maybe it's fear that's hindering me but I just can't think of any way to ask her out.
