hexaemeron
When used correctly, condoms are usually around 97% effective. So while the odds are in your favor, it's not a 100% solution. Link to comment
gingerlemon
I have used condoms as my main birth control for the past fifteen years or so. It is generally quite safe. I have experienced it breaking about two times, and have it sliding off (while he's inside me) maybe another couple of times. In those cases, I've taken a morning after pill. I've never had any unwanted pregnancies. In short, it's pretty safe but nothing is 100%. Link to comment
TasmineFr
I am not going on the pill again, it game me bad migraines .... i have asked him to pull out when he feels that he is cuming , but he has often complained that he feels hornier to know that he can cum inside ....plus we are always very extra careful...do guys feel less wanted if a girl would ask u that ? I always check the tip of the condom , for licking or dropping ....just for peace of mind , it is always intact and so far so good Link to comment

It's roughly equivalent to a guy getting you to the very edge of orgasm, and then telling you "okay, go ahead and finish yourself off" Fun, huh? Link to comment
tresqua
It's always going to be safer to pull out even when wearing a condom. Condoms can be defective, they can tear, they can come off. But at some point you gotta figure the cost/benefit ratio. Is it really worth it? I mean do you take an umbrella with you on a sunny day in case a sudden thunderstorm rolls in? Do you wear a life preserver on an airplane just in case you have to make an emergency water landing? Do you not get in a car and drive it because there's a chance you might get in an accident? Do you never wear stained underwear in case you're in a fatal accident and you don't want the mortician to see it? At some point you just gotta go with the odds and live your life. Link to comment
TasmineFr
The condoms he uses are rather tight on his .....so i think it should prevent it from sliding off or not? Link to comment

TasmineFr
Do all the lubes on the market have that agent ? I am not always wet and i don't wanna feel pain that's the main reason i use the lube , didnt know it has other properties ....good to know... Link to comment

You have to do some homework, but they're definitely out there. Link to comment
TasmineFr
I will definitely look into that, hexaemeron and thanks for suggesting it to me....i had not thought about it Link to comment
Mercurial Girl
I was always taught that the proper way to use a condom was the withdraw right before orgasm. Condoms DO break and leak after all. However, I don't personally know anyone at all who uses them as that way and it seems most weren't taught to use them the way that I was. Link to comment
Snowy
Pulling out somewhat defeats the purpose of using the condom in the first place. Link to comment
tresqua
Pulling out somewhat defeats the purpose of using the condom in the first place. I will disagree and say the effect is additive. By your logic, someone who uses the pill and a condom is defeating the purpose of one, by using the other (if you negate the protection from STDs provided by a condom). Link to comment

By your logic, someone who uses the pill and a condom is defeating the purpose of one, by using the other (if you negate the protection from STDs provided by a condom). The pill and condom analogy doesn't reflect my logic at all. And I do agree that the effect is additive. My logic was, a condom is designed to trap everything inside the condom right? This include precum. So if it traps precum, then it obviously traps semen. If the condom was broken, then the precum would have already leaked out, therefore she's still going to be pregnant even if he pulls out. Although my logic ignores the probability of becoming preganant by precum vs. the probablity of becoming pregnant by semen. Just in case you didn't get what I meant, I'll summarise: Basicallly, if the condom was perfectly intact, then she wouldn't get preggo pull out or not. But if the condom was broken, regardless if he pulled out or not, she would've been exposed to being pregnant. And therefore, she would have to take an emergency pill. Link to comment

Precum does not exist in a vacuum, it is usually joined by semen. Link to comment

mouseno4
Think of it this way. If condoms give you 98% protection from BABIES!! what would you say if YOU ended up being one of those 2%? Be safe. Use multiple protections. Link to comment
tresqua
I don't understand what you mean by this. I meant that your logic is flawed because as you stated, it only applies to precum, and precum rarely exists alone, unless there's no ejaculation that follows. Link to comment

What do you mean by precum rarely exists alone? Most guys get precum during foreplay. For me personally, I always get it. Link to comment
