ambergelato
I am in no way saying I have it bad or that I have much to complain about at all. I'm just wondering if the things I'm noticing now are red flags, or if I'm just being paranoid. My current boyfriend and I don't see each other that often because of our long distance relationship (maybe once a month). He sometimes will slap me on the hand and tells me to "be a better girl". He says he's joking but he does it allll the time. He also is trying to get me to stop hanging out with one of my guy friends because he told me he had a crush on me. I get the jealousy, but it bothers me that he's trying to say who I can and can't hang out with. Anyway, is this anything to worry about or should I just let it go? Link to comment
bob82
it is obviously bothering you and causing some problems. You are not doing anything wrong, just becasue someone used to like you he should trust you not to do anything. Im in a verry similar posisiton and have stopped talking to my ex and another girld becasue it casued problems but my girlfirend is still not happy and wants me to stop seeing another friend who ive seen 3 times in the last month. ambergelato
Thanks for the response! Yeah..my boyfriend can also be verbally abusive and will tell me not to gain a certain amount of weight even though he knows I struggle from an eating disorder. I don't know where to draw the line.
