Oh life... you're so not funny...

So turns out my ex's mom and sister were on my flight from Auckland to LA. I'm not sure if they noticed me.

 

I don't know, it's just really hitting me. I was already nervous about flying. The last time I flew back to the US, it was really rough because I was saying good bye to him at the airport. To fill in on the background. We decided not to do the long distance thing (as he was studying overseas for the year). Spent the last day together doing fun things like mini golf. It was just a very bitter sweet day and it was really hard to say good bye. So I was scared to how I was going to react.

 

And then I ran into them. They're flying to visit him for a few weeks. I really hope they didn't notice me, but I just couldn't deal with making polite conversation.

 

It was just like, life you're so not being funny right now. I'm trying everything to move on, and then life needs to throw a reminder. A reminder of the time I spent with them when we were dating, and that time was happy. A reminder that they're getting to see him. A reminder that I'm not speaking to him.

 

I don't know. I'm just really upset by it. We haven't spoken to each other in a month. It's difficult. I miss him, but I know this is what's best for me.

 

I just can't do it. I can't be his friend. I can't have him in my life.

 

And as much as it is a struggle, this is just want I need to do for myself.

 

Anyhoo, I just needed to vent. Just a little shaken up by everything.

All I can say is I admire your strength and support your decision. I'm just sorry you had to run into the mother and sister of your ex. I can't imagine how difficult that would be, but hopefully that was the last of it. Vent away and stay strong. Hang in there and I hope you're feeling better.
