Waking up extremely hoarse

For the past week or two, I would wake up every morning very hoarse. I don't know if it's a cold or something else, but it's drastically changing my voice. It's not really that sore and I'm not coughing through the day. Sometimes I have some mucus in the back of my throat, but not always.

Laryngitis maybe. The climate & air conditions where you live could be contributing as well. I don't see a reason not to visit a Dr if your voice is changing.

you can't self diagnose this on the internet, and if it's something like strep throat, it could be very dangerous. the rule is that you should go to the doctor for any sore throat that lasts longer than 3 days, or if it really hurts a lot or makes you hoarse and is not associated with a cold.
