curious987 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Okay....so this is a pretty random question.... But once two people break up, is it normal, or can it occur, that both of them go out and hook up with other people (either with people they know or strangers), and then, in time, realise that they can't get over eachother and realize they want to be with eachother? Thoughts and opinions please
Eocsor Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Sure it happens. My ex dumped me after 3 years, we went out with other people for about a year, and then we got together again for another 10 years. So yeah, it happens.
Cheetarah Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Yes. And then most of the time, you get back together months, years later, and realize the same issues you were ridden with then are still hanging around. Whether or not the two of you have sufficiently grown, honed your communication skills, and aren't inherently incompatible...It could work. My experience, anyway.
jumper11 Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Or you sleep with new person and just get attached to them, instead, lol. After being with someone new, it just solidified that my ex was unhealthy for me. Though the new person is never perfect, either , lol
learning2relax Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 There are an infinite number of possibilities that can occur. Anything is possible.
20pence Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Yes. My best friend & her fiance broke up, both hooked up with other people for a few months then got back together - they've been together ever since. OH and my other friend & her bf broke up for 8 months, she hooked up with other people but they're back together now However all the same issues are still there, & my friends are still unhappy, unfortunately. Sometimes it's just not meant to be. G x
