Confused

I don't really know where to start,but i just guess i need a second opinion.There's this friend of mine that i really like,he's really confusing day he talks to me,the next he ignores me.He texts me at midnight to wish me happy birthday,the next day not one "hello".He's out of town now,and to my surprise we've talked every day since he's left(he was the one initiating the conversations).That was until Friday,now it's back to silence again.I don't know what to make of his behaviour.

Also,there's this girl,a colleague of us,that i suspect likes him.She's quite shy,but at a party we were together i noticed he kept seating next to her,she was paying him alot of attention.They don't talk,or hang out,i just think they just chat online and stuff,but i can't help fearing that they'll get together.I really don't know what to do,if i'm just paronoid,but it's really been eating me.

Maybe the "silence" just means he wants YOU to reach out. You are free to text him if you have his number. He might take your indifference and reluctance to text as lack of interest. If you want to talk to him, call him, text him, give him the attention the other girl is giving him. You don't know if they'll end up together, but if you don't show signs of interest as well, he might think the interest is just one way, and go for the girl that does seem to like him.

I always do that...i've texted him while he was away,and i always call him and invite him out when we're going out friends.Actually,we weren't this close(as friends) a month or two ago,but now that we've started talking more is mostly due to me.

Using technology to communicate is easy. Anyone can do that. Use the technology of your mouth to take action. If you feel you can't do this then there is a good chance he might get away. And I'm sure you dont want him to get off your hook.
