Sparkly Eyes
I'm wondering about first few dates clothing. What is acceptable? How much skin can you show as a girl? I'm specially interested in guys points of views. I think most women think wearing something conservative is the way to go. But some of my guy friends tell me that I should wear something more sexy and show off what I've got, lol. So yeah, girls, what do you usually wear for your first few dates with someone new? Guys, what kind of clothes impress you the most? Does a girl showing some cleavage or a little too much leg a turn on or turn off or it really doesn't matter? Link to comment
guynextdoor
Depends on where you are going on the first date. I prefer my date to wear what is comfortable. Not too much skin, that reeks skanky.. Link to comment

Alezia
Where you are going is probably what is most important. Is this a sit down dinner? Link to comment
Alezia
If you want to do something sexy but not cliche or over the top try bare shoulders or an open back. Link to comment

Sparkly Eyes
Where you are going is probably what is most important. Is this a sit down dinner? Yes, a sit down dinner. But I'm just asking a general question now. For most of my past first dates, I wore pants and nice shirts, pretty conservative for the most part. I'm actually not comfortable with open back shirts, they are a little too much to me. But bare shoulders I agree is sexy and classy. Link to comment
Alezia
I love bare shoulder dresses that hit a bit above the knee for this time of year. Of course I haven't dated in forever So maybe it's best not to take my advice. Link to comment

Capricorn3
I think anything in good taste will always come off much better than way too much skin with boobs falling out all over the place and a skirt so short that a girl can barely walk without showing all to the world. Too much skin works well at the beach, but for a date/restaurant etc, I think good taste is preferable with decent amount of cover up. Link to comment
Beluga23
Depends on what you feel is the best feature. For bare shoulders, it looks better if you have broader shoulders... if you have nice legs, you could wear a dress or a skirt with a nice shirt. If you have a nice bum, you could wear a nice shirt with tight jeans. =) My rule is that I don't get extremely dolled up for the first date because if things go well, you can still wow them later... Fluttershy
When it comes to legs or boobs, show one, but not both (or neither if you prefer to be conservative with dress). Generally this allows for both sexiness without being too immodest. Personally, I prefer showing legs since it gives someone a good chance to see what I have for a little bit, but not to the point where they're staring at my chest all throughout dinner. But that's just me. Flaunt your best asset, and keep the rest covered for the first few dates. Link to comment
ladyninja30
Depends on the weather too. I wore a sweater, my nicer jeans and flats. My first date with my now ex was in December so it was freezing and we had one thing actually planned and that was the movie, the rest was kinda improv. Link to comment

Well, I never meant way too much skin with boobs falling out, not sure why people always assume the worst. That would not be tasteful of course. I said a little cleavage ... hmmm, for example, what do you think of a dress like this? image removed Link to comment
mouseno4
From a guys perspective, i would want to see a date appear sexy, but keep most of her assets 'secret'. I would not like a girl to show up in a short skirt, nor have her breasts look like muffin tops. (whilst most guys would love a girl to show pretty much everything, but this is a date - you want them to like you... not your breasts) Knee high dresses are very smart, sexy, shows a bit of her legs, but only enough to make a guy 'wonder' what the rest of her legs look like. Remember, you want to give the impression that your best assets are hidden. Shoulderless/off the shoulder would really depend on what you personally like. As for colours, something that you consider to be something you want to wear to dinner, if you were only going with friends or family. Oh and one more thing - dont pretend your breasts are bigger - i have seen girls with 'inserts'. To me personally, i dont find that the least bit sexy. You are presenting yourself, not your chest. Alezia
I personally have almost to no breasts, so I can get away with very low cuts with my dress looking cutsy as opposed to muffin top boobage. I don't think I would go any sexier of a dress than that for a first date, but it does look nice Link to comment

I'm actually not going to wear that, I agree it might even be too much...I'm just giving an example to get a better idea of what others think. Link to comment
Alezia
] This is the style I would probably go for. Link to comment

If you dont have much, that is perfectly fine. But dont try and do something like shove socks down there. That just ... yeah not cool. Link to comment
mouseno4
Muffin top means, you wear a bra and dress that is so tight around your breasts that the top half is pressed upward - where there is no pressure. The result resembles a muffin top. Link to comment
Sparkly Eyes
] This is the style I would probably go for. I was actually about thinking about this style today. But I'm just not sure if it looks good on me. I have big breasts and strapless bras feel uncomfortable for me and I probably won't be able to get away with wearing that without a bra. Link to comment
Alezia
Most of bras on the market are slightly padded nowadays. Though it's not like it would make a huge difference in cup size relevant to stuffing socks in your bra. All my friends have DD to G sized boobs, so really, I could probably stuff my jeans pants in my bra entirely and it would be no match. Link to comment
Alezia
Yeah, I would simply wear a nice beige strapless bra. I agree, this style may be a bit over the top or drag your breasts down. The power of having no boobs! Link to comment
