What happens after you meet?

This is my big question right now...

 

I have just met my online boyfriend, I know that i love him and want to be with him but we live in different countries.

 

What usually happens after you meet and have to go home?

 

Do you make immediete plans to see each other again and who initiates that?

 

I would love to go back to his country again but unfortunately I can't financially right now

You usually plan for the next visit and really before entering into the relationship should discuss were you both stand in a relationship, especially a LD one. When my fiance and I met last June we already had plans for him to visit me again in Sept - but we pushed it back to Oct - but we knew he was coming no matter what. We both initiated the plans really, seeing each other is something we constantly talk about.

Hey, been there ,done that. My american bf came to visit me for less than a week in my home country. Our relatiosnhip wass based in letters and phone calls. i knew very limited english at the time.

He got all the paperwork done, i came to the contry. i only came herre to find out he was a real loser, drove a company vehiacle for his entire adult life, done drugs and has a psyquiatric medical history. Bipolar with capital letters and never wanted to have sex.

Now that i had a brok,loser,crazy and limp bf all i had left was to do something with my life because i was too embarassed to come back home and tell everyone that prince charming was a fake.

I hope you make your research. ask if there is anything you need to know as far as sex and drugs. believe me, you wont regret.

I wouldn't say you necessarily have to make plans for the next meeting right after you get home from the first one. After I went to see my boyfriend for the first time in April, we continued on the way we had before the visit (webcam, voice, chatting), and I think it was about 3 weeks until we started even mentioning meeting again. Actually I just booked the tickets for the next visit a few days ago.

 

You shouldn't think about who initiates it, it will just come naturally when you're having a conversation. What I did after coming home was trying not to make my world revolve around that guy now and thinking about when to meet next etc, even though I really missed him and wanted to go back to his country right away, I just let things flow and continued to do the things I did before I met him (going out, friends, hobbies, work etc).

Definitely making plans for the next visit. I'll see my LDR boyfriend at the end of July again.

As others have said start to plan your next visit. In my case, we were planning for his move after we discussed who was going to move. There has to be some sort of end goal of being together locally in mind for an LDR to work.
