Text from the Ex's bestfriend

Recommended Posts

Hello,

sooo I've been NC for my ex for several weeks now and going strong, but a few nights ago I got a text from my ex's best friend that said "we have been trying to contact (my ex) all day and have not had any luck. Do you have news from him?' I replied saying no I haven't heard from him in several weeks. I haven't received anything else...I'm tempted to contact my ex just to see if he is alright, but I really don't want to break NC. Any advice?

No, do not contact him. One day is not enough to cause alarm - they can try his family first before resorting to you contacting him. If something is really wrong, you'd hear about it now.

haha, thanks for your resposnes...I had a feeling, but I had hoped men over 30 would be a bit more mature

I only have one word to say to that...HA!

Seriously, some are and some aren't. I also suspect a game...and where there's smoke, there is often fire.

Good for you for not taking the bait.

okay...I think I'm reading too much into this, BUT what if they were actually playing a game with me to see if I would respond. I saw the message just a minutes after it was sent, didn't think twice are replied right away. Ah...perhaps that made me seem eager to have news from him (?) I'm only pondering the question since I never received a message back...

I would leave it alone and not contact them. If they were really truly concerned about your ex, they would drive over to his place and knock. One day is not something for anyone to panic over unless they live with him and he never spends the night anywhere and never came home.

Stop panicking, your in the drivers seat.

He's waiting for a call or text from you looking for an update.

Imagine how dissapointed he's feeling now that you havent showed any concern or that your cool enough not be wondering whether he's been found or dramatically rescued
