Why get them involved? Is that common? Is it just to get a 3rd party opinion? but if so, why wouldn't you just ask your own friends? I just think it's a bit strange... Link to comment

lucasky Posted June 4, 2011 Share Posted June 4, 2011 Woah. I was about to say that when I've been the dumper, I've never contacted my ex's best friends. I've left them alone. BUT!! Actually I dumped this one guy because I realized I had feelings for his best friend, and I talked to his best friend afterwards in an attempt to like... ensure that he didn't think I was a bad person. Wanted to make sure I looked good so I could win him over later. I didn't... lol. He was a good friend and stayed true to his buddy (my ex). Boy, I was clueless back then. Probably still am. caramelcolor Posted June 4, 2011 Share Posted June 4, 2011 may be to just leave with a scope of a clean image...... thats what my guess is..... my friends get contacted by her or called by her for a birtday, occasion... which is to not happen so much prior to BU.... ya so i'm perceivin it that they don want to cut off ties with the rest involved... cos on some level it doesnt make sense... or its to rid off the negativity that they suspect we (dumpee) must be feeding to our friends about them......
